CodeLynx, Inc. has openings for full time Electronic Security Field Technician positions in Columbia and surrounding areas including Sumter, Orangeburg and Camden. This Electronic Security System Technician will be responsible for maintenance and configuration of large integrated access control and video surveillance security and components. The systems to be maintained are Access Control, CCTV, Video Management Software, Intercoms, Alarms, and others. The desired candidate will be self-motivated and will have the skill set to interface directly with the end customer.

Experience and Skills

Required:

• Working knowledge of CCTV, Access Control, Intercoms, Intrusion detection, and Network Infrastructure
• Prior IT experience and strong computer skills
• A US Citizen and consent to a full background check
• Have a valid US driver’s license as some local travel may be required
• Ability to climb ladders, work from lifts, and work in confined spaces and overheads
• Willingness to work days, nights and weekends (as needed)
• Pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check
• Have a clean criminal background without felonies

Preferred:

• Previous experience in Integrated Electronic Security Systems
• Certifications with Lenel, Genetec, S2, Milestone, Exacq, Video Insight, Kantech, Pelco, Avigilon, Aiphone and Stentofon products are a plus. However, we will provide training.
• Experience evaluating, designing, and implementing electronic security technologies a plus
• A proven experience in low voltage wiring including code requirements, installations, running conduit, troubleshooting, and working with access control hardware
• Implementation and Maintenance of Intercom Systems, Intrusion Detection Systems, Access Control and Video Surveillance Systems

Experience and Skills

• Excellent presentation and leadership skills
• Strong interpersonal skills to include: communication, conflict management and complex contract negotiation
• Ability to travel throughout North America
• Previous experience working in a high growth technology industry

• Experience with governance, risk, and compliance audits
• Software sales experience with commercial, Federal, and/or State accounts

Job Description

CodeLynx is looking for an senior level Electronic Security Technician in our MidSouth office.  The Electronic Security Technician will work with the security team to install, service, and maintain client security infrastructure.

Job and Responsibilities

• Project management of all aspects of Enterprise Systems which include but are not limited to; planning, design, installation and maintenance for project
• Develop and deliver metrics, progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations
• Design, develop and implement scalable solutions for system installations, upgrades, repairs and change outs
• Complete the final testing and commissioning of enterprise security system deployments
• Suggest areas for improvement in internal processes by remaining on the forefront of emerging industry best practices
• Build on and develop relationships with key stakeholder groups such as Information Technology, Information Security, Networking, Site Operations and Vendors
• Establish and implement effective, predictable and measurable processes and procedures

Experience and Skills

Qualifications:

• Experience in large, complex organizations with multiple operating locations is a plus.
• Must have a valid driver’s license as some local and regional travel may be required.
• Must have an existing TN or MS Burglar Alarm Registration.
• Must have the ability to lift 50 pounds, stand for long period, climb ladders, and work in close quarters.
• Must have the ability to pass all relevant background checks and screenings and hold a position of trust within the organization.

Other responsibilities include:

• Providing a High Level of Customer Support
• Developing an on-going customer relationship
• Completing Preventative Maintenance visits to ensure all customer rooms and systems are operating in an optimum fashion

• Completing repair functions and return authorizations required to resolve customer issues
